About SimplifyIAM

18 years of IAM.
All of it applied.

Not a course created from documentation. Built from real enterprise implementations across IGA, Access Management, and everything in between.

Where this started

I, Srinath, came into IAM the way most people do — through a role that needed someone to figure it out. There was no structured training, no clear path. You learned by doing, by breaking things, and by sitting with engineers who had done it before you.

Over 18 years that turned into deep, hands-on experience across the full IAM landscape: Identity Governance and Administration, Access Management, federation, directories, legacy platforms, and everything enterprises actually run in production rather than what vendors show in demos.

What I kept seeing

Across consulting and presales roles, the same pattern appeared constantly. People understood IAM conceptually but could not translate that into actual implementation. They could describe what provisioning does. They could not build a working provisioning pipeline.

This is not a knowledge problem. It is an exposure problem. Most training — vendor courses, certifications, documentation — teaches you what systems do. It does not put you in front of those systems and make you configure them until they work.

Why SimplifyIAM exists

I built SimplifyIAM to close that gap. Not by simplifying IAM in the sense of making it easier than it is, but by making the path from understanding to implementation clear and direct. The complexity of IAM is real. The confusion around how to learn it does not have to be.

The YouTube channel exists to build the foundation. The program exists to take you from foundation to genuine implementation ability. Both are built around how IAM actually works in the field, not how it is presented in vendor materials.

Areas of expertise

Across the full
IAM landscape

IGA
Identity Governance and Administration
Provisioning, lifecycle automation, role management, access certification, and joiner-mover-leaver flows across enterprise IGA platforms.
Access Management
SSO, MFA and Federation
Single Sign-On architecture, multi-factor authentication, SAML and OIDC federation, and enterprise AM platform configuration and deployment.
Protocols
SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, LDAP
Deep working knowledge of the protocols that underpin enterprise IAM. Not just what they are but how they behave in production, where they break, and how to debug them.
Directories
Active Directory and LDAP
Directory architecture, schema design, and integration patterns. The foundation layer that most IAM implementations depend on and many practitioners do not fully understand.
Legacy Platforms
Enterprise AM and IGA History
Hands-on experience with legacy enterprise platforms across multiple generations. Understanding what was built, why, and how modern platforms replaced or extended those patterns.
Consulting and Presales
Enterprise Client Delivery
Implementation delivery, solution architecture, client-facing presales, and the real-world project dynamics that shape how IAM gets built inside large organisations.

The teaching approach

Why this program
is built differently

Most IAM training is built around a product. Vendors teach you their platform. Certification programs teach you a framework. Neither puts you in front of a real implementation problem and makes you solve it.

SimplifyIAM is built around what implementation actually requires. That means starting with the underlying concepts, building on them with real configuration exercises, and finishing with the ability to translate that into any platform or environment you encounter in the field.

The platforms used in the program are chosen for their real-world relevance and their accessibility for hands-on learning, not for vendor relationships or licensing convenience. The skills you build transfer.

The group size is small by design. Direct access to 18 years of implementation experience is the point. That only works if there is enough space in each session for real questions about real problems, not just delivery of a curriculum.
